Shunli Wang

Professor Wang Shunli is a Hainte Distinguished Professor and Ph.D. Supervisor at the College of Electrical Engineering, Sichuan University, China. He is a Life Fellow of the Royal Society for the Encouragement of Arts, Manufactures and Commerce (RSA Life Fellow) and a Fellow of the Institution of Engineering and Technology (IET Fellow). He also serves as the Academic Dean of the School of Electrical Engineering at Inner Mongolia University of Technology and the Executive Vice Dean of the Smart Energy Storage Research Institute. Additionally, he is the Deputy Director of the Sichuan Provincial Engineering Research Center for Power Energy Storage System Operation Control Professor Wang has published more than 258 peer-reviewed papers in international academic journals, among which 62 are in CAS Zone 1/Top journals, and 46 are ESI Highly Cited/Hot Papers. He has also authored 9 academic books. He has led and undertaken 56 scientific research projects, including those funded by the National Natural Science Foundation of China and the National Key Research and Development Program. He holds 23 authorized invention patents and has received 13 provincial and ministerial-level science and technology awards (including 3 international gold awards). He serves as the academic leader and principal investigator for several provincial-level engineering research centers and key laboratories. Professor Wang is also an internationally renowned grant reviewer, regularly providing evaluation services for the National Natural Science Foundation of China, the Ministry of Science and Technology, and various provincial-level science and technology departments. In recognition of his outstanding academic contributions in the field of new energy measurement and control, he has been consecutively named among the World's Top 2% Scientists for 2023, 2024, and 2025, and was recognized as a Highly Cited Researcher by Clarivate in 2024.
